Andrew and Itacyara Comings have a vision for ministry in the Brazilian state of Maranhão. Itacyara, herself a Brazilian citizen, grew up in this state in the northeastern region of the country. Andrew was a short-termer in Brazil for two years, became fluent in the Portuguese language, and developed an intense burnen for that region. Together, they are intent on serving God in that area, with the following emphases:
A Vision For Churches:
To plant self-supporting, self-propagating, independant Baptist churches in the state of Maranhão.
A Vision for Camp:
To develop a camping facility which will meet the needs of churches in Maranhão and throughout Brazil.
A Vision for Missions:
To challenge, enable, and equip Brazilian believers for missions around the world.
