The Art of Falling

As long as we are on the subject of the World Cup, I have to share these two videos. First, one that shows the difference between the training regime of the Brazilian team and the Argentine team.

And then a scene from yesterday's game, demonstrating that it is not only Argentines who have mastered this art. I am still seething over this.

Here's another video, where Kaka talks about the event. He says basically that the images speak for themselves, and manages to be magnanimous to the ref and the "fall prone" player, while at the same time skewering them royally.

Talk back to the missionary: Anybody else out there watch the game? Share your impressions in the comments section.

That looked like the Italian team practicing there! They are masters of the dive, and I would submit that they won the Cup in 2006 on dives alone. (I hope your brother does not hold that against me!)

If Italy did not spend so much time on the ground, they may have done better. France, well, they were just dysfunctional. (I found it very entertaining)

Kaka should be well-rested for the game against Chile Monday. (along with Robinho & Elano)

@pregador27

You may be right about the 2006 cup, although Zidane's head-butt didn't hurt things for the Italians either.

Is it wrong of me to take special glee in the fact that both Italy and France are out of the contest this year?
