Fortaleza from Ten Floors Up
Staying with friends in their new apartment in Fortaleza, couldn't resist taking these shots from their tenth-story window.
Talk back to the missionary: What is the view like from your window right now? Wax descriptive in the comments section.

We got hammered with rain this morning. Living in a semi-arid region, the rain is always welcome.

It is deceptively sunny, as the air is chilly, and the pines and palms are slightly swaying, (not even close to the "hurricane dance" which is an awesome sight to watch.) The crape myrtles are barren after our January freeze, but soon the bottlebrush tree outside my window will begin to bloom and the hummingbirds will return for my viewing pleasure.

Gary, I've seen the hurricane dance. "Awesome" is a good word to describe it.

Snow everywhere, 8-10 fresh inches now being redistributed by the wind. when the wind isn't blowing, the street lights make it glow and sparkle. It is beautiful if you're not out driving in it. (but I still would rather be looking at grass and spring flowers!)

Yeah...I gotta say I much prefer the view in the picture above.

My window shows our neighbors' places. A lot of rain too. Overcast with an occasional bird flying quickly by. Puddles on the grass- making hundreds of tiny lakes! I find it relaxing. Thank you, Lord, for the rain. Deus é bom!
