Is it a Sin...

...to envy your brother who gets to go to the T4G conference in Louisville, KY and hear the likes of John MacArthur, John Piper, Al Mohler, and R.C. Sproul, live and in person? (Not to mention that he gets to rub shoulders with celebrity bloggers like Phil Johnson, Centuri0n, Abraham Piper and Tim Challies)

I posed the above question to Pastor Almir, our theology prof. He put his hand on my shoulder and said "Andrew, I can make this easier for you to bear. Just remember that your brother is going to be much more accountable to God than you are."

Not sure that helps.

That was almost akin to the wisdom of Solomon. I tried to figure out a way to go, but no chance. I would rather go to Brasil anyway. That should be next year. Drat.

The question is...would it be a sin for the brother to go on and on about how great a conference it was, and how anyone who didn't go missed tremendous blessings and challenges from the likes of Al Mohler, John Piper (awesome), John MacArthur, Mark Dever, and Ligon Duncon...not to mention worshiping in song with 5,500 other people!

That would most DEFINITELY be a sin...one for which the only possible penance would be round trip tickets for myself and my wife to next year's conference;-)

Seriously, I am glad you got to go. We have been having a pretty exciting missionary conference here this week...pictures and details to follow shortly.
