Off to São Luís
In a few minutes, we will be heading to São Luís, to spend the Christmas holidays with Tassie's family there. We will be driving throught the states of Ceará, Piauí, and Maranhão. We are taking our camera, and I hope to have many pictures to post in the next few days.

We will be thinking of you folks as you spend time with Itacyara's family. It will have special significance for you all this year in several ways. In a few minutes your Mom and I will begin watching "Miracle On 34th Street." I don't think I'm up to "It's a Wonderful Life" this year. We'll watch "A Christmas Carol" tomorrow night. After "34th Street" we'll go over to the church for a Christmas Eve service. We'll be watching Max Lucado's children's story "The Crippled Lamb" - nice story but I'm not into the animation. Kids will like it, though, I think. Then, starting with Genesis 3:14-15 we will read nine passages of Scripture leading up to and including the birth account in Luke 2. For each passage someone will light a candle.
