Brazilian Choro

As we go from church to church talking about Brazil, many people ask us about Brazilian music--what does it sound like, what kinds do we use in church, etc.

Today I came across the website (thanks to Daniella Thompson) of a trio of Brazilian sisters who play Choro, one of the most beautiful and intricate of the Brazilian stylings. I believe it predates Bossa Nova and Samba as a popular musical expression in Brazil.

Be sure to watch this video, which gives has some nice scenes of Brazilian life, as well as featuring the three girls playing their music.

Choro--just one of the many reasons to love Brazil.
